Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the IOUHome, IOULegacy, IOUForever, and IOULegacy Deployed platforms (collectively, the “Service”), operated by IOU, INC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. Notify us at support@ioutoday.org if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Your Content

Ownership. You retain all rights to the content you upload. We do not claim ownership of your photos, documents, recipes, capsules, or other materials.

License. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you. This license ends when you delete your content or account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for unlawful purposes, upload malware, interfere with the Service, or use automated tools without permission.

5. AI-Powered Features

The Service includes optional AI features powered by Azure OpenAI. AI outputs may contain errors. Content submitted to AI is not used to train models.

6. Subscription & Billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Pricing and billing are handled through Stripe. Subscriptions are managed through IOUMore, LLC.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IOU, INC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind.

10. Not a Legal, Medical, or Financial Service

The Service is a personal digital storage platform. It is not a legal service, medical records system, financial advisory service, or estate planning tool. Documents stored are personal copies for your convenience only. Consult qualified professionals for advice specific to your situation.

11. Health Information Disclaimer

The Service is not a HIPAA-covered entity. If you require HIPAA-compliant storage, please use a service certified for that purpose.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia.
